During my tenure at Counterplay Games, I had the opportunity to work on environment art for the Godfall Fire & Darkness expansion, under the guidance of Art Director Tim Simpson. I assumed a leadership role in designing pipelines and establishing the desired aesthetics for the vertical slice, enabling us to embark on the production phase with a well-informed approach.
In these levels, I played a crucial role in formulating asset blending techniques for various elements, encompassing natural terrain and architectural features. This included defining approaches for creating dirt paths and optimizing the use of trims to achieve the aesthetics outlined in our concept art.
